Dermal Fillers
As we age our skin loses collagen, hyaluronic acid, and fat, which results in the face having more laxity, wrinkles, loss of volume in the cheeks and increased volume in the jaw area. Dermal fillers are used to correct the moderate to severe facial wrinkles caused by natural aging and contour the face.
Most dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. The use of dermal fillers in cheeks, nasolabial folds and marionette lines can improve the appearance of the face for a more rested and youthful appearance. Fillers can also be used to provide fullness to thinning lips, the jawline, and chin. In addition to hyaluronic acid fillers, Boat Club Medical Spa offers collagen stimulators like Bellafill and Sculptra. Through the use of PMMA that provides immediate results, the collagen stimulator can give you a 5 year result and is used to treat acne scars.
There are a variety of fillers on the market, at Boat Club Medical, you will get an individual consult to assess your area of concern and which filler would be best to achieve desired results and help you put your best face forward.
This non-surgical procedure is performed with or without topical anesthetic to numb the area; a small needle is used to inject the filler that may cause a slight burning sensation.
