PDO (polydioxanone) Threads

PDO (polydioxanone) threads are absorbed sutures material that are placed under the skin in minutes. These sutures have been used in pediatric cardiac surgery for years and is a safe hypoallergenic product. The come in a variety of sizes, strengths and purposes. Selection of the appropriate thread is based on the desired outcome. As the body absorbs these sutures, they stimulate collagen bundle production which tightens the skin, helps with wrinkle improvement and lifts the skin.

PDO Threads come in two forms: Barbed and Non-Barbed

Barbed PDO Threads

Barbed threads have tiny projections from the side to lift the skin. This can be used in the face, neck, or buttocks to lift these sagging areas. When used in the cheeks, it is known as the Lunch Time Face lift as the procedure takes about 1 hour and you are able to return to work immediately if desired.

Non-Barbed PDO Threads

Non-barbed can be used in a series of treatments to correct fine lines/volume loss in lips, smoker’s line, nasolabial folds, crepey skin, bat wings and provide a good alternative to dermal fillers.

Silhouette Threads

Sihouette threads is an anti-aging treatment that combines instant lifting of the skin combined with gradual collagen stimulation for natural age-reversing results. Silhoutte threads are made from polylactic acid (PLLA). PLLA has been used for several years in various medical applications.

Silhoutte threads have bidirectional cones to anchor the subcutaneous fat and lift the skin. This allows for you to enjoy a minimally invasive face lift without surgery.

Results:

• Immediate Lifting
• Gradual, long lasting natural results occur over the next 3-6 months post treatment. The sutures dissolve in about 12-18 months and the results are maintained for another 6-12 months, depending on factors like lifestyle and genetics.

Recovery Time & Side Effects

Redness or slight swelling for 30 min. Bruising lasting up to one week. You may experience slight soreness with lifting treatments and we advise to limit excessive movement of the treated area for 3-4 days and sleep on back for 2 weeks for cheek lifts. Some skin dimpling/irregularities can get - these usually resolve in a few days.
