Laser hair removal works by using the BBL laser to deliver heat down the hair follicle shaft to the bulge of the hair which permanently destroys the hair follicle. What areas can I treat?
Any area that has unwanted or excessive hair - face, arms, arm pits, legs, back, bikini area, and more.

Is there any pre-treatment?
Yes. Do not wax, tweeze, bleach or use hair removal cream or electrolysis for at least 4 weeks prior to first treatment. Do not use sun tan bed, self tanning lotions or get in the sun for 3 weeks before. Shave 42 hours before treatment but not after that. We need a little hair showing for effective treatment. Arrive with the area clean and free of lotions/perfumes.

Are there any risk?
Negative side effects from laser hair removal may include burns or hyperpigmentation. At BCM, you will be treated by a trained medical provider to decrease this risk.

Who should get laser hair removal?
Any healthy adult male or female with unwanted hair. No pregnant female. Light/blonde hair will not been seen by the laser and individuals desiring removal of blonde hair are not good candidates. One other consideration is a tattoo in the treatment area- this area will not be treated to prevent damage/depigmentation to the tattoo.

Will my hair grow back?
Laser hair removal is effective for eliminating 80-90% of hair within the treated area. Hair can eventually regrow but it comes back thinner, more sparse and grows slower.
